The end of the year is the perfect time for companies, groups and organizations to celebrate the holidays with a delicious meal! The Grande Maison Younan Collection’s chefs have created a range of mouth-watering menus for delicious meals in delightful settings. Local ingredients and products are carefully chosen and painstakingly prepared for a magical, extraordinary dining experience.

Near Angers, the Château la Perrière in Avrillé is a truly dazzling sight. Dating back some 4 centuries, this château sparkles like winter sunshine, offering diners a warm welcome and a Christmas extravaganza. Enjoy scallops to start, served with wild garlic risotto and a parmesan tuile. Next, treat yourself to veal. Incredibly tender and beautifully pink, it’s served with a shiso sauce and buttery truffade, a traditional dish from Auvergne made with potatoes and chervil root. Local cheeses (of course) offer a beautiful range of flavors. And for dessert? A sublime Mont Blanc, with meringue, Chantilly cream, crème de marron and mandarin to finish the meal on a high.

The elegant and sophisticated Château Le Prieuré, overlooking the Loire river, is feeling festive too. Let the holiday spirit wash over you in this stunning château, seemingly decorated by a whirlwind of stardust. Take your seat in the hotel’s Le Castellane restaurant: this is where the magic happens. Kick things off with the contrasting temperatures of an organic poached egg, creamy cauliflower and diced chorizo. This delicate and spicy dish is a treat for the senses. In the mood for some winter sun? Let the main course of pan-fried monkfish and vegetable confit with honey, cumin and fried dill transport you to sunnier climes. Savor delicious and aged cheeses before the ecstasy of chocolate, combined with the tantalizing texture of caramelized pecan nuts. The dish melts in the mouth and yet has a satisfying crunch for an incredibly comforting dessert!

Tradition and haute cuisine go hand-in-hand at Château de Beauvois. As another year comes to an end, chef Régis Guilpain has combined the two to create a heavenly festive menu. To begin, savor a delicious and seasonal dish of duck confit served with chestnuts and foie gras. Next, a main course of cod, served with parsley cream, beetroot mousseline and heirloom vegetables for a divine mixture of regional flavors. The chef’s cheese course features a local goat’s cheese, Sainte-Maure, with honey, figs and walnuts. Time for dessert: a decadently creamy dish featuring ice-cream and an emulsion, showing off chocolate in all its glory. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate: the perfect combination with something for everyone for a delicious way to round off the meal.

Close to Niort, the Hôtel Saint-Martin will celebrate the holiday season with an ode to traditional hospitality. Enjoy a truly warm welcome and a divine menu at Le Logis. The opening act: a trio of lentils and raspberries. Served with thinly sliced smoked salmon, this is a deliciously flavored starter. To follow: high quality organic Black C chicken, garnished with green olives and pan-fried mange-tout for a beautifully appealing dish.
